All pieces below are available for purchase. Please contact me through "comments" to inquire about price and shipment details.
THREE GORGES DAM - This is a view of the east side. It retains the Yangsee river water. The dam is 1 and 1/4 miles wide and in 2007 was 100 feet below being filled. dimensions: 8 x 12 inches... 14 x 17 framed
ISLAND THAT DISAPPEARED - This is an island 2 days east of the dam that contains temples, shrines and religious instruction sites. We were told that it will soon be under water as the Three Gorges Dam fills and raises the water level here above the island. dimensions: 8 x 12 inches... 14 x 17 framed
MOORING AT CHONGQUING - This is another 2 days east. The metropolitan area has over 33 million inhabitants and lots of large item manufacturing. Right now the river is too shallow to bring the big cargo ships here to load the goods. When the Three Gorges Dam is full the river here will be deep enough to load the big ships, take them west thru the locks of the dam and out into the Pacific Ocean. dimensions:12 x 14... 17 x 20 framed

THE GREAT WALL NEAR BADALING In Badaling the great wall section is entirely reconstructed amidst lots of souverir stores and a Starbucks. This section is ten miles away. Our van parked in a dirt lot and we hiked 45 minutes up the hill to this authentic section of the wall. It's very isolated giving you a sense of how the guards lived as they waited and watched for the Mongol hordes to breach their position.
CITY WALL - XIAN This was the traditional winter quarters for the Emperor and his government and the easter terminus of the Silk Road. This wall surrounds the central city, an area of 4 square miles.
