Dave Brain is retired from the animation industry where he was an animator, and an animation director. Dave graduated from Chouinard Art Institute with a BFA. He studied watercolor painting with Ed Reep at Chouinard. As a teenager, Dave studied for 6 years with Craig Smith Jr.
Dave retired from the animation studios in 2006, but he continues to produced these watercolors from photographs he has taken on his various trips around the world.
